Special
Education

With years of experience in special education, I have a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students with disabilities. I am committed to creating pathways to post-secondary achievement for every student, with or without disabilities. That starts with supporting educators and school communities.

MY SPECIAL EDUCATION JOURNEY
My career began in the South Bronx as a Grade 6–8 Special Education teacher within a high-needs district. Over my 15 years as an educator, I’ve had the privilege of fostering student-centric communities within elementary, secondary, and higher education settings. In creating high-quality learning experiences that nurture both social and emotional needs, I’ve watched hundreds of students of all ages find confidence and motivation to exceed high expectations. It is my non-negotiable belief that we should prioritize the development of the whole student — mind, body and soul.
With a passion for enhancing the learning experience of all students, I became a founding Special Education teacher of The Young Women’s Leadership School of the Bronx in 2012. Most recently, I founded the Jersey City Leadership School for Young Women – the first all-girls public school in New Jersey – slated to welcome its first class in September of 2023.
A SHIFT TO CONSULTING
The time spent in the classroom sparked my passion to make a positive impact on as many students as possible. I transitioned to consulting in 2018 and became deeply committed to partnering with schools and districts nationwide to improve student achievement. I believe that through compassionate collaboration, we can create meaningful change within school communities to create environments that unlock full potential.
I am dedicated to strengthening and empowering school communities by sharing my expertise through a variety of services that cater to the specific needs of teachers, administration, and district leaders. I ensure that stakeholders are developing best practices, executing programmatic initiatives – while always analyzing current systems, partnerships, and projects.
